Snow Day Phone-In

Actually, this was not an "official" snow day. But when Mr. CM & I woke to find our street still covered in white stuff, with freezing rain on the way... and considered that every other town in the area called off school, and that it was only going to be a half day, anyway... we called it.

Playing hooky is not something we encourage, of course, and I had a tough time shaking some lingering guilt... But later in the day, I did feel vindicated when we learned that the Middle School's roof was suffering structural strain, due to the heavy loads of snow & ice on it. That school will be closed for the rest of the week, for repairs and evaluation, leaving our middle-est available for shoveling...
